Solutions Consultant
Position Summary:
This position is a critical part of the sales team that helps guide prospects through sales process to closure. As part of the sales team you will be responsible for working with prospective customers to understand their business challenges, and quantify and demonstrate the value of SignalDemand solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in qualifying prospects and defining strategy for success
- Lead customer surveys to uncover pain/opportunities and the value of improving their current methods
- Build analytical tools and demonstrations for sales organization to quantify value at prospects
- Develop and present value-oriented, solution and analytical presentations to prospects
- Be sales representative to product marketing and engineering to communicate needs and requirements
- Coordinate with professional services to ensure hand-over
Minimum Requirements:
- 7+ years experience providing pre-sales / solution consulting support at enterprise software companies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with C-Level executives
- Experience with optimization or modeling technologies in the areas of pricing or supply chain
- Must have strong financial/economics or analytical background with capability to generate, discuss and present quantitative value assessments
- Experience in working at, or selling into, commodity or food manufacturing, CPG or Foodservice industries
- Experience with Customer Centric Selling, Solution Selling, or Complex Sale methodologies
- Strong references a must
- Bachelors degree
- Willingness to travel
Desirable Experience:
- Business Intelligence / Analytic Software experience
- Experience working with and customizing web-based applications
- Familiarity with enterprise systems, integration and IT infrastructure
- Enterprise Software sales experience in a start-up environment
- MBA or MS Degree
