Mark Tice, CEO

With more than 25 years of executive experience at both venture-backed and large enterprise software companies, Mr. Tice has a proven record of leading organizations through periods of rapid growth. Prior to SignalDemand, Mr. Tice was the executive vice president of worldwide sales with responsibility for all revenue at MarkLogic Corporation, the company revolutionizing the way organizations leverage Big Data. Prior to MarkLogic, Mr. Tice was the president and CEO of Bridgestream, Inc., the market-leading role management company, where he led until the acquisition by Oracle Corporation in 2007. After the acquisition, Mr. Tice served as vice president of Oracle's Enterprise Performance Management-Business Intelligence consulting practice. Mr. Tice has more than ten years of experience at large, business intelligence companies, holding executive roles at organizations such as Business Objects and Sybase. He has also held senior positions at Mantas, Inc., Borland International and others. Mr. Tice holds a B.S. in Systems Science and Economics from UCLA.

Michael Neal, President and Founder

Mr. Neal has applied innovative science to solving merchandising and supply chain challenges throughout his 25 year career. He is the president and founder of SignalDemand, which he started in 2004 with Dr. Hau Lee of Stanford University. His extensive industry experience includes co-founding DemandTec (Nasdaq: DMAN), the largest provider of Consumer Demand Management (CDM) software for retail price and promotion optimization. Prior to DemandTec, he held executive positions at Evant (sold to Manhattan Associates), a supply chain optimization software company; and consulting positions at Deloitte Consulting and Accenture. Mr. Neal's expertise includes the development and application of analytical software tools for manufacturers and retailers, with a focus on empirical approaches to decision-making. He holds several patents in related fields. Mr. Neal holds an M.B.A. from the J.B. Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a B.A. in Economics and Statistics from the University of Florida. He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Meat Institute (AMI).

Dr. Michael Freimer, Chief Scientist

Dr. Freimer has more than fifteen years of experience applying management science to practical business problems. Prior to SignalDemand, he was an associate professor in Penn State's top-ranked Supply Chain and Information Systems Department. His research addressed a variety of issues in supply chain management, including developing inventory strategies for retailers, managing repairable parts for the U.S. Coast Guard, and designing procurement auctions. He has also held academic positions at Cornell's School Operations Research & Industrial Engineering and School of Hotel Administration. Before returning to graduate school he was a Senior Associate at Applied Decision Analysis, Inc., where he led projects to develop market forecasting tools for clients in the automotive industry. Dr. Freimer holds a B.A. in mathematics from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Cornell University.

Dr. Rongming Sun, Head of Engineering

Dr. Sun has more than twenty years of experience in designing, developing and delivering mission critical applications for both large enterprises and small, high growth organizations. He has spent fifteen years focusing on supply chain planning and optimization, developing deep expertise in supply chain optimization, planning and scheduling methodologies. Prior to SignalDemand, he was senior director of engineering at Sumtotal, a SaaS based solution in the Human Capital Management area. Prior to Sumtotal, he was the director of the Advanced Planning and Scheduling/Supply Chain Management application development group in Oracle. During his eleven year career at Oracle, he architected and developed a number of supply chain optimization products including Advanced Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Optimization, Transportation Planning, Supply Chain Intelligence, Replenishment Planning as well as others and holds nine approved or pending US patents on optimization and planning. Prior to Oracle, he was a research assistant at IBM, focusing on their production scheduling application as well as two national research projects in the ERP area. Dr. Sun holds a Ph. D. in Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems from the William States Lee College of Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he conducted research focusing on applying constraint theory to solve scheduling and supply chain optimization problems. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Precision Engineering from the Tianjin University in China.

Robert Martin, Vice President, Services

Robert Martin is Vice President of Services at SignalDemand and is responsible for the implementation and support of all customer deployments. Prior to joining SignalDemand, Robert worked in leadership roles in services and new product development at Profitlogic , the leading retail optimization vendor, which was acquired by Oracle. Before Oracle, Robert served as a consultant for the LEK Partnership, developing strategic solutions for Fortune 500 clients, and as an investment executive for the Royal Bank of Scotland Technology Venture Capital team, investing in early stage technology ventures. Robert has an M.Eng in Electronic and Industrial Engineering, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Meghan Keough, Vice President, Marketing

Ms. Keough is responsible for driving the application vision, marketing, and roadmap for SignalDemand. Prior to SignalDemand, Ms. Keough held leadership roles in Oracle's application strategy organization where she was responsible for Siebel Sales, Service and Master Data Management product lines for the Communication, Media and Utilities industries. Ms. Keough also held leadership roles at Siebel Systems. Prior to joining Siebel Systems, Ms. Keough was a technology and process consultant for Accenture where she advised Fortune 100 clients on the use of technology to improve operational performance. She holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Economics and Information Systems from Boston College.

Tom Ward, Vice President, Worldwide Sales

As a member of the company's management team, Mr. Ward is responsible for driving sales for SignalDemand's enterprise applications worldwide. Prior to SignalDemand, Mr. Ward was Vice President of Sales for Instill Corporation (acquired by iTradeNetwork) selling supply chain and trade-spend management solutions to major food manufacturers and foodservice operators. Previously, Mr. Ward was with a reseller of i2 Technologies, successfully selling supply chain optimization solutions to mid-sized manufacturing and retail companies. He started his career with a division of Emerson Electric, working in a variety of engineering, management and sales roles. Mr. Ward holds an M.B.A. from Georgia State University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University.

Vicki L. Warren, Vice President, Customer Success

Ms. Warren works with SignalDemand customers to ensure successful adoption of our solutions. She has over 25 years of experience in consulting with global companies in the areas of change management, training, leading practices for user adoption and sales effectiveness. Her background in sales effectiveness includes relationship management of small, mid-size and large corporate accounts as well as international trade financing. Prior to joining SignalDemand, Ms. Warren was a Director in the Global Services division of Oracle Corporation. She was a member of the Implementation Effectiveness team at Siebel Systems working with global companies to help them successfully adopt front office software solutions.

Ms. Warren holds master's degrees in international business and business administration, from the American Graduate School of International Management and the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. She was a recipient of a Fulbright/German Academic Exchange grant for post-graduate work in cross-cultural communications.
