MarketForecaster™

Provides commodity price forecasts through an intuitive user interface, enabling fact based decision making for manufacturers, retailers, restaurants and others as they buy and sell commodities, or products made from commodities. The solution generates market-level price forecasts using a variety of inputs, including information from data aggregators such as the USDA. PriceForecaster™

Includes the MarketForecaster capabilities, combined with price forecasts for the top twenty-five products bought or sold by the organization. The forecasting models are aligned to your strategic goals and incorporate additional industry and corporate information considered relevant. IBM Business Intelligence solution, Cognos 10 has also been embedded to provide analytics with the PriceForecaster software-as-a-service solution.

PriceManager™

Extends PriceForecaster by applying the same mathematical models and rigor to all products and all channels. Enhanced application and analytic capabilities provided by IBM Business Intelligence solution, Cognos 10 provide pricers and sales representatives with additional fact-based insight into customer buying patterns, price sensitivity, and helps to identify the highest margin opportunities.

PriceOptimizer™

Represents the next step in the path to value by generating a market clearing optimal price by product, by channel. The result is a reduction in the number and the severity of "fire sales" conducted by manufacturers, thereby raising average margin and lowering price volatility. This also has the benefit of increasing pricing discipline and creating more opportunity for trading partners to work closely together, leaving behind the traditional "bid and quibble" relationship.

PriceOptimizer includes robust cost, supply and demand models, as well as the forecasting engines included in the earlier solutions. PriceOptimizer then uses IBM WebSphere iLog CPLEX Optimizer to provide recommendations for price and volume allocations which enable a manufacturer to clear inventory or capacity most profitably. In addition, IBM Business Intelligence solution, Cognos 10 has been embedded to provide robust analytics on top of the rich dataset created as a part of the PriceOptimizer solution.
